Has it really been that long?

I can't believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since my last post. Since I decided that this was going to be my way of journaling I feel a bit guilty. I have a lot of catching up to do so here goes. I've got a lot of new posts that will get us up to date!

We love the sun!

Today was a beautiful day so we took advantage and had lunch at the park. The weather was so great that it reminded me of living in California. Now if only there was a beach nearby.

Peek A Boo

I was cleaning out the car and took a load of stuff into the house. When I came back out this is what I found. Preston had crawled on top of the van and was playing peek a boo with Brayden. Brayden thought it was hysterical. When I got in the car later that afternoon to go pick up Madyson, there were little foot prints up and down the windshield.

Happy Easter (a few days late)

I'm not sure everyone was totally awake yet but I knew I would forget to take a picture after church!

After church I made Grandma Jolley's strawberry pie and Brayden was the lucky one who got to the beaters first!

Garden Time

We haven't had too many nice days lately but we took advantage of the one we had this weekend. Trent laid sod in the back where we had a huge dirt patch and the kids helped plant a garden. I just hope we have better luck than last year and can actually grow something. It's a small garden but Preston has been begging to do it and he was a happy boy getting his hands dirty!

A llittle bit of monkey in all of them

We removed some trees from our backyard and our first attempt didn't quite get them all the way out. The kids had a blast playing on them before we completely removed them!

Mr. Fix It

The kids did a building project a few weeks ago at Lowe's. Brayden had to sit and watch at the store but he got in on the action once they got home! Building is so much easier when you stick you tongue out!

Mowing Obsession

While Trent was out of town for a week our neighbor gave Brayden a ride on his lawn mower. After they were finished Brayden stood at our shed and cried until I let him in. Then he spent the next hour sitting on the mower begging for a ride. I finally decided that I would go ahead and drive him around. I pulled the mower out of the shed and wouldn't you know it the battery was dead. I tried to push it back in but it was so heavy I couldn't get it up the ramp. I knew it was going to storm so I decided to push it to the garage. I decided a few pushes into it that I really need to start working out. After who knows how long I finally got it into the garage. When I was finished I noticed that I had huge bruises on both legs where I had pushed against it. However, now that it was in the garage, Brayden was somewhat satisfied because he got to sit on it as much as he wanted. The things we do for our kids!
When Trent got home, before he could even make it in the house, he had to take Brayden for a ride on the mower!

1st Tournament

Madyson and Preston participated in their first Karate tournament a few weeks ago. The both did a great job and they both took 2nd place in weapons. Madyson did Kama's and Preston did Bo Staff. (Austin was on camera since I was video taping - We still need to work on his photography skills)
